![]() ![]() Even with mic monitoring turned down to what should be the perfect setting, it just makes random fucking noise.Īfter reading daily complaints on this Sub, I would absolutely avoid turtle beach for the rest of my gaming days. I’ve also faced a few issues with what my friends say sounds like crackling. I’m halfway through a game every now n then the volume will decrease, and occasionally it’ll shoot up and my god, I genuinely feel like I’m getting shot IRL. The audio is grand, but the wheel to adapt the volume seems to have a mind of its own. The headset itself is comfortable enough to wear for hours & hours worth of gaming. I didn’t go for anything fancy with all of this Bluetooth connectivity malarky, but instead went for the stealth 500. Me still living in 2011, I decided to go for turtle beach as like I said, they used to be the big thing back then. For that reason, when I came back to CoD this year I had to go out and buy myself a decent headset. I’ve come to the realisation that Turtle Beach was the top dog back in the prime days of CoD. If you have an iPhone make sure you turn the headset safety off in the sound settings for your phone because it will affect your Bluetooth volume, that goes for most headsets with Bluetooth. You could also check out Arctis nova 7s since they generally around the same price, with similar features, but no app though. Out of all the headsets I’ve tried I think the tbs sound best out of the box on their signature sound at this price range. Range is shorter on the turtle beach headset, if you walk around your house while chatting and stuff it might give out at points.Ĭlamp force is very tight out of the box, had to some stretching of the headband The app has some good features like noise gate for the mic which works well and might be something g to consider if you’ll be chatting while in a noisy environment. Mic is good and I do prefer the flip to mute. They are kind of buggy even after the latest firmware update. I personally love everything about it despite the amount of tech issues that make me rage out on a daily (yes I mean daily) basis I’ve become able to look past the issues.Īll up to you if you want to buy them and hey it wouldn’t hurt to buy them and return them if you don’t like it. Loads of issues from this headset that have made me very frustrated but I will say the quality of them from audio quality and heavy bass to comfortability and crazy long battery life have kept me from selling it. The chat wheel will program itself to control mic volume at random times and you have to fix it in the turtle beach app (that’s if it will fix it). Another issue is while you’re using them they will cut audio randomly or soften it to being inaudible. ![]() It’ll connect to whatever you’re connecting it to but the audio either won’t work or will be super silent and you’re constantly resetting them. On the other side I’ve had constant issues with the headset since I’ve owned it. From gaming to music to movies you’ll enjoy them very much.
